Tulsa Webbune will Resume Publication

The Tulsa Webbune will resume publication in June.  The content will include news of Tulsa and its suburbs, as well as national events which affect Tulsans.  Plans call for editions of the Webbune to be released on a weekly basis.  The Tulsa Webbune is an independent news publisher, not affiliated with any other news outlet.

The format of the Webbune will be similar to that of a traditional newspaper.  The computer screen will, of course, replace the traditionl newsprint.  Taking advantage of this medium, Webbune articles will have hyperlinks to related stories and sources on the world wide web.

News coverage will emphasize events in the greater Tulsa area, but will also include state and national news which affects the people of Tulsa.  The Tulsa Webbune will offer good news as it is available, not just the bad news.

Tulsa Webbune Solicits News Releases

The Tulsa Webbune welcomes news releases from Tulsa businesses, churches, community groups, schools, organizations, and governmental agencies.

The Webbune will, at the discretion of the editor, print news releases which are current news, announcing events which will happen soon, or describing events which occurred recently.  These releases will, however, be subject to revision for content and format.  News releases will be identified as such, and will be attributed to their sources.

News releases from businesses will be subjected to special review.  The opening of a new business is news, and will probably be published.  An announcement of a sale is not news, and will be published only as a paid advertisement.

Tulsa Webbune Announces Editorial Policy

The Tulsa Webbune will include news reports, community features, and editorials.  The editorial policy will be to keep these separate, with news reports free from opinions.

Politically, the editorial policy of the Webbune will oriented toward the ideals which have made America a great country.  This means individual freedom, individual responsibility, and individual authority.  America has been moving away from these princlples for some time.

This political stance will be partisan only by coincidence.  The Webbune editorial position wil back any idea which moves in the direction of individual freedom and individual authority, regardless of the political party which is backing the idea. The Webbune will oppose any idea which promote collectivism, socialism, globalism, or statism.

Webbune Solicits Features and News Reports

The Webbune will also accept and print good feature style articles and news reports from Tulsa writers.  News reports should describe a current event or a contemporary situation in Tulsa.  Feature stories should tell Tulsa about a church, a school, a charity or aid organization,

an interesting person, a notable building, or something from Tulsa's past.

These news reports and features, if published, will carry the bylines of their authors.  Those interested can contact the Webbune by E-Mail
